Meet Endy
Hi! I'm Endy, the founder of Cambode. In 1999 my mother, two sisters, and I immigrated from Cambodia to Massachusetts to reunite with my father who had been granted asylum a few years prior. We never had much when I was growing up in that small basement apartment but our humble surroundings felt like a tiny detail next to the love of being with my family. As my parents worked hard to rebuild our lives in a new land, I was determined to make the most of my opportunities – I became a first-generation college graduate and later earned my MBA while working full-time. In my first decade after graduation, I wholly embraced the American corporate culture and solidified myself as a hungry professional fixated on climbing. In the vortex of my ambition, I woke up to the realization that I had left my Cambodian roots behind.
Now, in my early thirties, my personal values are firmly set in my experiences as an immigrant. I've come to deeply appreciate the importance of cultural identity as we as individuals are increasingly told what we need to feel fulfilled. Cambode is my opportunity to merge and share cultures through clothing expressions. I hope this sparks your own reconnection to your roots.
